The National Quality Framework - The National Quality Framework is a government initiative, which aims to raise quality and drive continuous improvement and consistency in education and care services.

Being is about living here and now.

Belonging is the basis for living a fulfilling life.

Becoming is about the learning and development that young children experience.

The National Quality Standard - The National Quality Standard is a key aspect of the National Quality Framework. The NQS consists of seven quality areas, each containing standards and elements, that children's education and care services are assessed and rated against.

The seven quality areas covered by the National Quality Standard are:

  1. Educational Program and Practice

  2. Children's Health and Safety

  3. Physical Environment

  4. Staffing Arrangements

  5. Relationships with Children

  6. Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities

  7. Leadership and Service Management

Kelly's Place's National Quality Standard Rating - We are extremely proud to announce that Kelly's Place has been awarded Exceeding in all seven areas of The National Quality Standards in May 2019.

The Early Years Learning Framework - The Early Years Learning Framework is a national curriculum framework. The Framework is an important tool to help professionals and parents achieve the best learning and developmental outcomes for children. It has a strong emphasis on play-based learning as play is the best vehicle for young children’s learning providing the most stimulus for brain development.

The framework describes the principles, practice and outcomes to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years.

The Framework focuses on your child’s learning. The Early Years Learning Framework describes childhood as a time of belonging, being and becoming.

Through the Framework’s five learning goals educators will assist your child to develop:

  • A strong sense of their identity

  • Connections with their world

  • A strong sense of wellbeing

  • Confidence and involvement in their learning; and

  • Effective communication skills
